Formed in 2008, Simon Kelvington is the result of Ken Simon and Bruce Kelvington recognizing they shared common values and viewpoints on serving clients. They are from different sides of the same state, but Bruce and Ken both embraced the vision of a firm that would always follow ethical, honest and open business practices. Work and family balance, reasonable and affordable fees, a commitment to technology and the efficiencies it provides are the values they hold.

Bruce Kelvington, CPA
Originally from Philadelphia, Ken moved with his family to Florida in 2004. He is a graduate of The University of Vermont with a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in both Accounting and Finance. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1986. Ken is a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, and has served nonprofits in roles including board member, consultant, employee, and outside accountant.
Ken’s expertise includes accounting system design, business entity formation, planning for retirement and individual taxes. A member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he also is a financial advisor and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary holding a FINRA Designated Supervisors license, Series 6, 7, 24 and 63 securities registrations, and life and health insurance licenses.
Ken has been a seminar speaker on tax and accounting issues as well as a coach and adult Sunday School teacher. He believes that an educated client can make the best decisions, so he strives to help each client understand his or her financial situation. He loves his family, the church and baseball.
Bruce is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a business/ accounting degree. His areas of expertise include corporate and individual tax consulting and compliance, financial systems management, investment analysis and management, equity market research, comprehensive financial planning, estate planning and income deferral planning.
Bruce enjoys all aspects of finance and accounting but as an entrepreneur, he is very passionate about assisting with small/mid size and startup companies.
A member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Bruce is also a member of Orangewood Presbyterian Church and has served on local non-profit and chamber boards including Orlando Babe Ruth youth baseball, Lifework Leadership and Edgewater Foundation.
Bruce is married to Jackie Kelvington and has two children. He enjoys family time and anything outdoors including fishing and golf. Most of his time that he is not in the office, you will find him coaching youth baseball.
Jeff Roach, EA, CVA
Joseph Ferrell, Accountant
Jeff joined Simon Kelvington in October of 2021. He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is an Enrolled Agent and Certified Valuation Analyst. Prior to joining Simon Kelvington, he was a tax manager with a Central Florida CPA firm. Jeff’s background includes working in the private sector with real estate developers as well as over 18 years of experience in the areas of tax, consulting, and valuation services with Central Florida CPA firms.
Jeff’s expertise includes tax consulting, small business consulting, individual and corporate tax planning, and business valuation services. He is a member of FICPA and NACVA.
Jeff enjoys the outdoors and enjoys hunting and fishing of all kinds. He served in the United States Army and currently has a son on active duty. He resides with his wife Debbie and family in Mount Dora.
Joseph is originally from Virginia and in 2007 moved with his family to Florida. In 2019 he graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in professional accounting. Shortly after graduating, his goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Joseph joined Simon Kelvington, LLC in 2017, and has enjoyed gaining experience in various fields during this time. He commonly helps with getting new startup businesses set up. He likes utilizing technology that makes business processes more efficient and is QuickBooks Advanced Certified. He also assists in the areas of tax and retirement plans.
Joseph enjoys spending his time outdoors whether it is going for a run or playing sports such as basketball and soccer. He values his faith above all else and hopes to make a difference with each client he works with.
Jessica Duong, Accountant
Beth Simon, Office Administrator
Originally born in Vietnam, Jessica was raised in California and in 2010 moved to Jacksonville, Florida with her mom and sister and has resided here since then. Jessica graduated from Stetson University this past December 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance and moved to Orlando, Florida. She plans to pursue her master's degree in Accountancy this August 2021 back at Stetson University and to become a Certified Public Accountant afterwards.
Jessica began with Simon Kelvington, LLC in January 2021 and has had the best experience thus far. In college, she volunteered as a tax preparer with the business school through VITA and interned for a non-profit organization as their bookkeeper. Coming onto the team with little experience, Jessica was able to take on different aspects of finance and accounting that has helped her learn real-life skills in the industry. By being thrown into different processes and challenges, Jessica feels she can learn by being hands-on and asking questions when necessary. Jessica helps in tax preparation, QuickBooks, and client communications in assisting them with their financial needs such as investment planning.
In her free time, Jessica loves spending her time at the beach. She loves trying new restaurants for a good eat and traveling to any new places when she can. Jessica loves being around people and spending time with her closest friends. Before graduation, she has been in retail since she was 16 and recently worked as a Sales Lead Manager at Express in Jacksonville.
Beth is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland with a B.A. in Economics and from Drexel University with an M.S. in Arts Administration. She previously worked in concert production for The Philadelphia Orchestra and as Program Director for Community Accountants, an organization connecting accountants with nonprofits and small businesses. An original member of the Simon Kelvington team, Beth oversees marketing and provides administrative support and client services.
Beth loves to sing though not very well and loves writing, baking and whooping it up when her four kids are playing sports.
Matt Simon, Intern
Matt was born in Philadelphia, but has grown up in Orlando. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance at the University of Montevallo, planning to graduate in 2023. Matt is a student-athlete on the baseball team, while also in the Honors Program. After graduation, his goal is to become a Certified Public Accountant.
Matt first started at Simon Kelvington in March of 2020. He has enjoyed gaining experience in multiple areas. During his time, he has assisted with tax, created/updated the company website, and helped with marketing. He loves learning more about the business and field.
Matt spends most of his time playing baseball or training for it. When he isn't at the field, he enjoys playing golf or spike ball, and hanging with friends.
Ishan Deva, Intern
Ishan was born in Australia and lived in Fiji until 2010. He then moved to Orlando. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of Central Florida, planning to graduate in Summer 2022.
Ishan started at Simon Kelvington in February 2022. As an intern, he hopes to gain experience in all areas of accounting.
Ishan spends most of his free time watching soccer. He loves watching documentaries on different small businesses around the world. He also enjoys spending time with his friends and family.
